Vanuatu’s annual Fest’Napuan (Festival of Song and Dance) is expected to draw 30,000 visitors to Port Vila for four days of free music in October. Fest’Napuan is the biggest musical event of its kind in the south-west Pacific and features local string bands, traditional and modern music, with a Christian music’Festival of Praise’ on the final Sunday.Individuals and bands from many of Vanuatu’s 80 scattered islands, as well as indigenous groups and soloists from Australia, Papua New Guinea and several other South Pacific countries are expected to take part in the festival.
