Tout est parti de la période des inondations, quand des acteurs comme MATADOR de BMG44 décida d’organiser des concerts pour soutenir ces personnes victimes de ces calamités naturelles. Ainsi toutes les portes de l’administration communale lui furent fermées,à l’exception de celle du maire de la commune d’arrondissement de PIKINE NORD monsieur AMADOU DIARRA.Ce dernier le mit en rapport avec PAPE BABA NDIAYE,directeur du COMPLEX LEOPOLD SEDAR SENGHOR,qui n’a pas tardé à apporter son aide à ces jeunes désireux de faire quelques choses pour ces victimes innocentes. C’est dans cette dynamique d’organisation et d’association que la structure d’AFRICULTURBAN a été créée

Festa2H is an initiative of Africulturban, an organisation based in Pikine; (Dakar – Senegal). The goal of Africulturban is bring the youths from the streets closer to the culture that comes along and bring the culture closer to the youths. We do this by organising workshops (dj’ing, mc’ing, breakdancing, painting, producing, managing,…) and concerts throughout the year. The main event is Fest2H; one big 10 – days event that’ll take place once a year; with concerts (national and international), workshops, debates, exchanges,… The first edition took place in july 2006 and the next one is for june 2007.
