From the South (DEPUIS LE SUD / Vanuit het Zuiden) est une organisation culturelle européenne basée à Amsterdam (Pays-bas). Elle a été créée par un groupe d’intellectuels afin de mettre en valeur l’apport d’artistes et d’intellectuels non européens à l’enrichissement des cultures européennes, à travers la constitution d’un réseau associant européens et non européens vivant en Europe. Elle vise à mieux faire connaître les cultures du Sud en Europe en organisant des activités culturelles dans différents domaines : théâtre, littérature, musique, cinéma….
Les fondateurs de l’organisation sont des professionnels ayant une expérience dans les domaines du journalisme et de la critique cinématographique, de la production et de production audiovisuelle et théâtrale, ils sont également utilisés pour organiser des événements culturels, des conférences et des festivals.
L’association Depuis le Sud (Vanuit het Zuiden, en néerlandais, et From the South, en langue anglaise) regroupe les critiques de cinéma expatriés et afropéens.
A ce titre, ils sont membres au sein de la Fédération Africaine de la Critique Cinématographique (FACC) qui édite le magazine multimédia Africiné Magazine (Dakar).
Elle est basée à Amsterdam, la capitale des Pays-Bas.

From the South (Vanuit het Zuiden) is a cultural European organization based in Amsterdam. It was created by a group of intellectuals in order to emphasize the input of non-European artists and intellectuals in the enrichment of European cultures, through the establishment of a network involving European and non-Europeans living in Europe. It aims to make the cultures of the South better known in Europe by organizing cultural activities in different fields : theater, literature, music, cinema….The founders of the organization are professionals who have experience in the fields of journalism and film criticism, production and audiovisual production and theatrical they are also used to organize cultural events, conferences and festivals.
The association From the South (Vanuit het Zuiden, in Dutch, and Depuis le Sud, in French) brings together African expatriate and Afropeans film critics.
As such, they are members of the African Federation of Film Critics (FACC) which publishes the multimedia magazine Africiné Magazine (Dakar).
It is based in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands.
