The search for a South African husband begins.
Anna Ronquillo (29) is a French-Moroccan immigrant who is caught working illegally in a trendy Cape Town restaurant. Given forty-eight hours to leave the country, she hits upon the solution of marrying a South African. But glamorous Anna, who has fled a nasty domestic situation in France, is a loner with few options. Then an idea hits her – she announces her plight on the radio and hundreds of prospective husbands turn up for Anna’s rigorous interview process.

Anna Ronquillo, uma imigrante ilegal franco-marroquina, trabalha em um restaurante famoso na Cidade do Cabo. Ela é descoberta por oficiais da imigração e tem 48 horas para deixar o país. Para Anna, a situação é um pesadelo. Ela fugiu de problemas familiares e não tem motivos para voltar à França. Desesperada, sua única opção é se casar. Ela põe um anúncio na radio local a procura de pretendentes: qualquer homem interessado em casar-se com ela deve ir a um restaurante no dia seguinte. Lá, eles terão cinco minutos para seduzi-la. Ao fim do dia, ela vai tomar uma decisão.
