Le jour de son 30e anniversaire, Imane reçoit la visite d’une femme qui prétend être sa vraie mère. Celle-ci apporte son lot de preuves et lui apprend que son vrai père n’est autre que le célébrissime Oussama Ben Laden. Devant une telle nouvelle, Imane décide de partir sur place, là où elle serait née, à Peshawar. Son meilleur ami Samy, un homosexuel déjanté, l’accompagne dans sa quête du père. Un voyage initiatique à travers le Pakistan et l’Afghanistan pour deux personnages aux antipodes l’un de l’autre.

« Il ne s’agit nullement de faire une biographie de l’homme le plus recherché au monde, mais plutôt de traiter d’un événement extraordinaire qui peut finalement survenir dans la vie de chacun de nous et qui peut définitivement bouleverser la vie de tout un chacun : apprendre qu’on a un père de l’acabit de Ben Laden.
Ce film se veut une comédie dramatique où le tragique côtoie le burlesque. Une histoire d’amitié, celle de Imane et Samy deux marginaux (chacun à sa façon) et surtout une histoire de guerre, de souffrance, de rencontres et d’humanité. Finalement Ben Laden ne sera que le père recherché par une fille perdue et non le criminel traqué par tous les services secrets du monde entier. »

During the evening of her 30th birthday, a woman visits Imane in her luxurious flat in Casablanca. The woman claims to be her real mother and shows Imane proof and documents to convince her. She also informs her that her real father is none other than Oussama Bin Laden himself. Faced with such news, Imane hesitates and then decides to go to the place where she was apparently born in Peshawar to find out for herself. Her best friend Samy, a crazy gay who has a great deal of difficulty accepting who he is and who runs his own beauty salon, accompanies her in her quest to find her father. This is an initiation journey through Pakistan and Afghanistan for two people who are complete opposites.

« The film is not a biography of the world’s most sought-after man but a look into what would happen if an unimaginable event, which would radically change anybody’s life, were to occur in somebody’s existence: learn that your father is a man of the calibre of Bin Laden. This film is a comedy drama in which tragedy and the burlesque go hand in hand. It is the story of the friendship between Imane and Samy, two outcasts (but for different reasons) and in particular a story of war, suffering, encounters and humanity. In the end Bin Laden is nothing more than a lost daughter’s father and not the elusive criminal who is tracked down by all the secret services in the world. »
