Maité se rend à Laâyoune où l’attend Dahmane, pour réaliser un documentaire sur le Sahara marocain. La réalité qu’elle découvre sur place, ne correspond en rien à ce qu’elle s’était imaginée. Elle croit que Dahmane veut influencer son travail et décide de repartir. La veille de son départ, elle rencontre des personnes faisant partie d’une ONG, qui vont dans le désert. Elle se joint à eux. Et là, commence l’aventure qui entre documentaire et fiction rend compte de la magie du désert…
