The writer/director is an Emmy Award winning producer, and playwright whose plays were selections at the NAACP Theatre Festival. She is a published author, photographer and started out working in development at a major studio before branching out into independent filmmaking. Her first film « Free Meal » ran in domestic and international film festivals before landing on the networks BET and Centric. She is a graduate student in film at the University of Southern California School of Cinema.

The producer, Wentao Wang, has directed several award winning short films and is also a graduate student at the University of Southern California School of Cinema.

Saudade also features some extremely talented actors including Kevin T. Carroll an Obie Award Winner, and also receiving an L.A. Critics Nomination for a Lead Performance, and seen in the films Being John Malkovich, The Notorious Bettie Page, Paid in Full and many more.

Yetide Badaki is an extremely versatile actress who has appeared on the TV shows Lost (ABC), Touch (FOX) and an acclaimed stage actress having been nominated for a 2006 Joseph Jefferson Award for an Actress in a Principal Role in a Play for « I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document… » at the Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago, Illinois.

Derek Shaun is a rising talent and starred in the hit play « Black Angels over Tuskeegee » that has run Off-Broad in NYC for over a year.

Saudade also had the honor of having dedicated and talented crew members who volunteered their time on the weekends to contribute to the film, it couldn’t have happened without Corey Stevens, Bruce Purnell, Steven Caple Jr., Janean Jeffries, Angie Browne, Michael Schatz and Jamari Perry!
