Les scarifications sur le visage et le corps existent depuis la nuit des temps dans l’ethnie Bwaba; mais il n’existe aucune information précise sur le sens de ces cicatrices. Je suis Bwaba et j’ai été scarifié à l’âge de six ans. Aujourd’hui j’en ai 43, et je souhaite connaitre le sens réel des scarifications que porte mon visage. Je décide de retourner au village pour découvrir la raison, le sens et l’origine de ces cicatrices.

Scarification of the face and body has existed since the dawn of time in the Bwaba ethnic group, but there is no precise information on the meaning of these scars. I’m Bwaba and I was scarred at the age of six. Today I’m 43, and I want to know the real meaning of the scars on my face. I decide to return to the village to find out the reason, the meaning and the origin of these scars.
