Rentrés au pays après plusieurs années d’exil, Stéphane, Léo, Boye Gaye et Cheikh sortent de leur silence et racontent pour la première fois leur périple en Occident. Ils évoquent les raisons de leur retour ainsi que leur incompréhension vis-à-vis des nombreux Africains qui tentent encore de rejoindre l’Europe au péril de leur vie. Leurs témoignages résonnent avec l’histoire de Guy Roméo, un jeune camerounais qui a tout risqué pour retrouver son idole en France, le rappeur Mac Tyer.
