"L'Algérie vue du ciel" est un film documentaire franco-algérien réalisé par Yann Arthus-Bertrand et Yazid Tizi, sorti en 16 juin 2015.



Ce documentaire est adapté du livre éponyme, écrit par Benjamin Stora et Djamel Souidi et illustré par Yann Arthus-Bertrand, paru en 2005 aux Éditions de la Martinière.



SYNOPSIS



Un Algérien de France (narration de Jalil Lespert) s’adresse à un frère resté au pays pour raconter ce qu’est l’Algérie d’aujourd’hui, filmée depuis les airs par le célèbre photographe Yann Arthus-Bertrand.



L'oeil de Yann Arthus-Bertrand nous fait découvrir ce pays grandiose, aux richesses culturelles et naturelles rarissimes. Du Nord au Sud et d'Ouest en Est, c'est le quotidien de toute une population que nous montre le réalisateur, qu'elle habite les trépidantes grandes villes côtières, les montagnes de l'Atlas, les oasis du Sahara ou les douces collines du Sahel. Riche d'un passé où semblent s'être croisées toutes les civilisations, et d'un territoire où semblent exister tous les milieux naturels, l'Algérie apparaît ici dans toute sa diversité et son unité. Le réalisateur laisse libre cours à sa fascination des formes, des couleurs, des visages et des empreintes humaines pour réaliser un portrait exceptionnel du pays le plus grand du continent Africain et du pourtour méditerranéen.

Sahel hills. Rich in a past where all civilizations seem to be crossed, and a territory where all natural environments seem to exist, Algeria appears here in all its diversity and unity. The director gives free rein to his fascination with shapes, colors, faces and human imprints to create an exceptional portrait of the largest country on the African continent and around the Mediterranean.
