Carl de Souza is a Mauritian writer of Indian, French and African origins. At 50, he describes events that had a great impact on his life: his beginning in writing, the publishing of his book « La Sang des Anglais », his passion for badminton, biology, his wedding with Geneviève, the birth of his children etc. Now, the writer is worried about the American influence and the rise of materialism on his island. He hopes that the 3rd millennium will be devoted to mankind. He sees aging like a state of spirit to be appreciated with a certain peace in mind.
