Les attentats terroristes dévastent la région du Sahel depuis des années, provoquant l’exode de milliers de sans-abris. Certains ont échoué dans le camp de déplacés où débarque notre héroïne.

Naïma ignore encore que son séjour va se prolonger et que sa quête de retrouver son frère Saïd trouvera enfin une réponse. Séparés lorsque leurs parents ont péri dans un attentat terroriste deux décennies plus tôt, la petite Naïma a grandi, obnubilée par l’idée de le retrouver, mais aussi marquée à vie par les séquelles de l’explosion qui lui a fait perdre l’ouïe.

La joie des retrouvailles sera cependant de courte durée lorsque Naïma va découvrir que Saïd est passé du mauvais côté.

Terrorist attacks have been devastating the Sahel region for years, causing thousands of homeless people to flee. Some of them have ended up in the displaced persons’ camp where our heroine arrives.

Naïma does not yet know that her stay will be prolonged and that her quest to find her brother Saïd will finally find an answer. Separated when their parents died in a terrorist attack two decades earlier, little Naïma has grown up obsessed with the idea of finding him, but also scarred for life by the after-effects of the explosion that left her deaf.

The joy of the reunion is short-lived, however, when Naïma discovers that Saïd has gone to the wrong side.
