Deux maîtres de la flûte traditionelle : Yacouba Moumouni, artiste emblématique du Niger, Jean-Luc Thomas, virtuose de la flûte traversière en ébène. Boubacar Souleymane vient y ajouter sa connaissance des rythmes du Sahel.

Jean-Luc Thomas, flûtiste breton, décide d’aller à la rencontre des musiques du monde et voyage en Irlande, Tunisie, Syrie, Brésil, Mali, Niger, Kurdistan et Pologne. Après avoir fait danser lors d’innombrables fest-noz, le musicien voyageur cultive son terroir de Bretagne et du Trégor et fait découvrir les sons du monde entier. Son travail sur la musique populaire bretonne et ses confrontations vers d’autres genres musicaux ont fait de lui un musicien au jeu riche et coloré.

Yacouba Moumouni est un chanteur et un personnage hors du commun. Yacouba Moumouni est une figure emblématique de la scène africaine, leader du groupe Mamar Kassey, groupe le plus célèbre du Niger depuis 1995. C’est un flûtiste au jeu coloré, plein d’énergie et de subtilité. Il maîtrise également le kamélé n’goni. Considéré aujourd’hui comme émissaire de la musique du Niger, Yacouba Moumouni s’est déjà produit dans le monde entier.

Boubacar Souleymane est un percussionniste grand connaisseur des rythmes du Sahel, Peul, Songhaï et Touareg. Il joue aussi les instruments traditionnels à cordes tels le kountigui, luth à une corde et la guitare. Ses nombreuses tournées internationales ont affiné son appétit de rencontres vers d’autres cultures et l’intelligence de son écoute font de lui un accompagnateur précieux et demandé.
