Le cinéaste tchadien Mahamat-Saleh HAROUN (Daratt, Grigris) sera membre du Jury Cinéfondation et Courts métrages au Festival de Cannes 2014.
Présidé par Abbas KIAROSTAMI (Iran), le jury est également composé de Noémie LVOVSKY (France), Daniela THOMAS (Brésil) et Joachim TRIER (Norvège), outre le réalisateur et producteur de Un homme qui crie.
Le jeudi 22 mai 2014, ces 5 jurés (EN PHOTO) décerneront les 3 Prix de la Sélection Cinéfondation à un des films d’étudiants dont la sélection sera annoncée ultérieurement. Cette section accueille des films du monde entier issus des écoles de cinéma.
Le même jury est chargé de remettre la Palme d’or du Court métrage. Ce sera le samedi 24 mai.

The 2014 Cinéfondation and Short Films Jury will be presided by Abbas KIAROSTAMI (Iran), supported by directors Noémie LVOVSKY (France), Daniela THOMAS (Brazil), Mahamat-Saleh HAROUN (Chad), and Joachim TRIER (Norway).
They will be tasked with awarding three prizes to films submitted by students from film schools the world over, which will be presented in the Cinéfondation Selection, to be announced at a later date.
The Cinéfondation Prizes will be announced by the Jury on Thursday 22nd May, at a ceremony to be followed by a screening of the winning films.
The Jury will also decide the Short Film Palme d’or to be awarded at the prize-giving ceremony on Saturday 24th May.
