Arterial Network coordinated a very well attended session during the Africities Summit of African mayors and municipalities in Johannesburg on 30th November 2015 in partnership with Culture et developpement. With Shaping the future of Africa with the people: The contribution of local authorities to the agenda 2063 of Africa as the theme of the 7th edition of Africities, the summit sought to mobilize stakeholders to contribute to the 2063 visioning exercise championed by the African Union and gather their commitment towards the realization of this vision. In light of this theme, the session hosted by Arterial Network and Culture et developpement focussed on integrating Culture within the work of local authorities and aligning policies to the role of Culture as indicated in Agenda 2063.
