Black Camera publie son premier numéro en collaboration avec le FESPACO

Le dernier numéro de Black Camera : An International Film Journal est le premier d’une collaboration en trois parties avec le Festival panafricain du cinéma et de la télévision de Ouagadougou, grand festival biannuel consacré aux cinémas d’Afrique et de la diaspora noire.
Le numéro comprend plus de 600 pages d’essais, de manifestes, de dossiers, d’interviews et de commentaires sur le FESPACO par des cinéastes et des professionnels des médias de renom.
Parmi les contributeurs figurent Danny Glover, Manthia Diawara, Ousmane Sembène, June Givanni, Férid Boughedir, Olivier Barlet, Jean-Marie Teno, Jean-Pierre Bekolo, Bassek Ba Kobhio, Dani Kouyaté, Zézé Gamboa, Mansour Sora Wade et Catherine Ruelle.
Le deuxième numéro de la collection sera publié au printemps, et le troisième sera probablement publié à l’automne 2021.
Cette publication scientifique, soutenue par The Media School, est éditée par le professeur Michael Martin. La doctorante Megan Connor est la directrice de la rédaction de la revue, et le doctorant Samuel Smucker et l’étudiant en maîtrise Cole Nelson sont les rédacteurs adjoints.

The newest issue of Black Camera: An International Film Journal is the first of a three-part collaboration with the Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou, a major biannual festival devoted to African and Black diasporic cinemas.
The issue features more than 600 pages of essays, manifestos, dossiers, interviews and commentary on FESPACO by prominent filmmakers and media professionals.
