Jean-Robert Tchamba

Jean-Robert Tchamba est né à Nkongsamba (Cameroun). Il obtient en 1993 une licence en psychopathologie à l’Université de Yaoundé I. Son activisme au théâtre universitaire le pousse à embrasser ensuite les Arts du spectacle en 1995. Il prépare actuellement une thèse de doctorat sur le monothéâtre. Il est comédien, metteur en scène et s’exerce à la création dramaturgique tant pour la scène que pour l’écran. Il a publié en 2009 aux Editions L’Harmattan « Trésors cachés » suivi de « Les Dormeurs ». Cette dernière pièce montée par lui-même a connu des fortunes dans des festivals locaux en 2010 et 2011.
Il est enseignant (Assistant) de théâtre et de cinéma à l’Institut des Beaux-Arts de Fomban (Université de Dschang), Cameroun.

Jean Robert Tchamba is a teacher of performing arts in the Institute of Fine Arts, Foumban (University of Dschang, Cameroon). He is actor, director and also a writer of plays and scenario. He published in 2009 at Editions L’Harmattan (France) a collection of two plays titled « Trésors cachés », and is preparing another book to published in the USA. Awaiting to defend a PhD thesis on « The monotheatre and monoperformances in Africa ».
