Doudja Abdoun (Khalti Djoudja)

Doudja Abdoun (دوجة عبدون), née le 23 janvier 1923 dans la Casbah d'Alger, connue sous le nom de "Khalti Djoudja", est une comédienne et actrice algérienne.



Élevée par sa belle-mère elle a débute sa carrière dans les années soixante-dix avec dans "L'Incendie" (El Hariq), adapté du roman de Mohamed Dib et réalisé par Mustapha Badie. Ensuite, elle joue notamment dans les films "Le Prix Du Rêve", "Leila Et Les Autres", réalisés par Sid Ali Mazif. Elle a également sollicitée pour des sitcoms en 2002 et en 2005 dont, entre autres, Ness M'Lah City 1 et 2, réalisés par Djaffer Gacem. Toujours en seroual et le foulard noué autour de la tête, elle incarnait la grand-mère algérienne bienvaillante typique. Elle crevait l'écran avec sa candeur et sa générosité, notamment dans son dernier rôle, celui de la grand mère Khoukha dans la sitcom à succès "Djemai Family" du réalisateur Djaâfar Gassem.



"Khalti Doudja", est décédée à l'âge de 86 ans , le 10 octobre 2008, suite à une maladie musculaire. Elle est inhumée au cimetière d'El Kettar à Alger.

Doudja Abdoun (دوجة عبدون), born January 23, 1923 in the Casbah of Algiers, known under the name "Khalti Djoudja", is an Algerian comedian and actress.



Raised by her stepmother, she began her career in the seventies with “The Fire” (El Hariq), adapted from the novel by Mohamed Dib and directed by Mustapha Badie. Then, she notably starred in the films “Le Prix Du Rêve”, “Leila Et Les Autres”, directed by Sid Ali Mazif. She was also asked for sitcoms in 2002 and 2005 including, among others, Ness M'Lah City 1 and 2, directed by Djaffer Gacem. Always in seroual and with a scarf tied around her head, she embodied the typical caring Algerian grandmother. She burst onto the screen with her candor and generosity, notably in her last role, that of grandmother Khoukha in the successful sitcom “Djemai Family” by director Djaâfar Gassem.



"Khalti Doudja", died at the age of 86, on October 10, 2008, following a muscular illness. She is buried in the El Kettar cemetery in Algiers.
