Émilie CARPENTIER (Émilie Carpentier) est une Réalisatrice et Scénariste.
Elle est connue pour L’HORIZON (2021).

Après une licence de lettres modernes, ÉMILIE CARPENTIER se forme au métier de costumière qu’elle exerce depuis, dans le spectacle vivant. En parallèle, elle écrit et réalise deux courts métrages de fiction flirtant avec le documentaire, LES OMBRES QUI ME TRAVERSENT et AU LARGE. Tous deux remportent plusieurs prix en festivals et sont diffusés à la télévision. En 2010, elle commence à encadrer des ateliers cinéma avec des adolescents de la région parisienne. En 2012, elle rejoint le collectif de réalisateurs Tribudom et réalise plusieurs épisodes de la web-série participative DEMAIN J’LUI DIS, aux côtés d’Elsa Diringer, Sacha Wolff, Jules Zingg et Ludovic Rivalan. Forte de ces expériences, elle s’engage dans le projet de long métrage L’HORIZON, soutenu par les aides à l’écriture du CNC et de la Région île-de-France, par la bourse de l’association Beaumarchais et par les résidences d’écriture De l’Écriture à l’Image et l’Atelier Grand Nord.

Émilie CARPENTIER (Émilie Carpentier) is a Film Director and Screenwriter.
She is known for THE HORIZON (2021).

After a bachelor’s degree in modern literature, ÉMILIE CARPENTIER trained in the profession of costume designer, which she has been practicing ever since, in the performing arts. At the same time, she wrote and directed two short fiction films flirting with the documentary, LES OMBRES QUI ME TRAVERSENT and AU LARGE. Both have won several festival awards and are broadcast on television. In 2010, she began to supervise film workshops with teenagers from the Paris region. In 2012, she joined the collective of directors Tribudom and directed several episodes of the participatory web-series DEMAIN J’LUI DIS, alongside Elsa Diringer, Sacha Wolff, Jules Zingg and Ludovic Rivalan. On the strength of these experiences, she became involved in the feature film L’HORIZON, supported by writing grants from the CNC and the Île-de-France region, by the grant from the Beaumarchais association and by the writing residencies De l’Écriture à l’Image and Atelier Grand Nord.
