Carmel Nayanah is an actress and television and film producer. Originally from Durban, she moved to Johannesburg to study film and acting at AFDA (The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance). After acquiring a B.A. in Live Performance, she found herself pursuing a career in production starting off with reality and documentary based TV programmes.
In 2010, Carmel went on to produce her first feature film, ‘n Saak van Geloof and shortly after that Snare, and Angels of the Skies. Although it was never the intention to neglect her passion for acting, an older and wiser Carmel feels ready to get back into the performance arena once again.
