Produzentin. Studierte ohne Abschluss Kulturwissenschaften in Leipzig, war von 2001-2006 Producerin bei ma. ja.de film. 2007 Gründung der eigenen Firma Blinker Filmproduktion GmbH in Köln. Blinker produziert Filme – von dokumentarisch bis hybrid, für junge Menschen und erwachsene, in internationalen Koproduktionen und verschiedenen Konstellationen innerhalb Deutschlands.
Auch außerhalb der PMMC als Mentorin in der Projektentwicklung tätig, u. a. für die Berlinale Talents und tp2; zudem in Jurys und Auswahlgremien sowie im Beirat der dokumentarfilminitiative NW.

Meike Martens ist Produzentin von Dokumentarfilmen sowie fiktionalen und dokumentarischen Stoffen für Kinder. Von 2001 bis 2006 war sie bei der Leipziger Produktionsfirma ma.ja.de. als Producerin tätig. 2007 gründete sie die Blinker Filmproduktion GmbH in Köln. Meike Martens realisiert erfolgreich internationale und deutsche Koproduktionen wie etwa Patricio Guzmáns Nostalgia de la Luz, der 2010 u.a. den European Film Award als Besten Dokumentarfilm gewinnen konnte, oder Philip Scheffners Der Tag des Spatzen, u.a. Gewinner des Deutschen Dokumentarfilmpreises in Ludwigsburg. An dem Pilotprojekt für kreativen Dokumentarfilm für Kinder und Jugendliche »dok you »ist sie als Produzentin und Projektleiterin beteiligt. Als Mentorin ist Meike Martens u.a. für den Berlinale Talent Campus tätig, zudem arbeitet sie in Auswahlgremien und Jurys wie etwa für den Deutschen Kurzfilmpreis.
