Lanre Olupona

Réalisateur et directeur de la photo nigérian.
Né en 1981, à Lagos, Nigéria. Il est responsable des opérations du festival iREP (iREPRESENT INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, Lagos) since depuis 2011. Il est passionné par l’écriture et l’image avec un attrait spécial pour ce que les nouvelles technologies peuvent apporter aux images. Lanre est un directeur de la photo et il a travaillé sur plusieurs films au Nigeria, documentaires ou fictions. Il travaille actuellement sur un film documentaire à propos de l’art traditionnel yoruba – appelé « Ijala » et le rapport qu’un jeune artiste entretien avec cet art ancien. En 2015, il était membre de l’équipe d’organisation de Encounters, le Festival International du cinéma documentaire d’Afrique du Sud.

Lanre Olupona (iREP International Documentary Film Festival Lagos, Nigeria)
Born in Lagos in 1981, Lanre Olupona is a filmmaker and digital content creator, he heads the operations of iREPRESENT INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL since 2011. He is passionate about story telling and visual narrative with an especial interest in the embellishments that new technologies bring to visual narrative. Lanre is a cinematographer and has worked on several film projects in Nigeria, including feature and documentary films. He is currently working on a documentary film on a Yoruba traditional folk art – « Ijala », and a young artiste’s attraction to this aged art. In 2015, he was a part of the organising team of Encounters South Africa International Documentary Film Festival.
