Jordy SANK is a film director and screenwriter. He is known for « I Am Here » (2021, documentary).
Jordy Sank is a director with a passion for storytelling and filmmaking, with a vision to create content that evokes truth, meaning and emotion. His student film, « The Locket », was nominated for a SAFTA for best student film in 2017, and was screened at various local and international festivals.
Jordy has a background in South Africa’s advertising industry, being guided and mentored by directing giants. He has directed video content for a range of brands such as Vodacom, KFC and Telkom.
Jordy directed his first feature documentary, « I Am Here » (2021), the memoirs of holocaust survivor Ella Blumenthal. Having grown up alongside Ella, listening to her heart-wrenching stories of perseverance, resilience and strength, he was inspired to embark on this passion project, that has been a dream of his for over 5 years. The documentary is due to be completed this year.
