Desiree KAHIKOPO is a Film Producer/Director. She is known for her feature The White Line.
Desiree Kahikopo-Meiffret is an award-winning female director/producer from Namibia. Desiree’s participation in the theatre and film industry spans over 12 years as an actress, performer, creative director as well as playwright. She produced, directed and wrote her very first play titled’ A lifetime of Blues’ which won best set design at the Namibian Theatre and Film Awards 2014.
She has worked on countless film sets including’Fish Out of Water’ as a Line Producer by the well known Namibian filmmaker Vickson Hangula. Desiree’s debut film titled’The White Line’ that has premiered at the 40th Durban International Film Festival is set to be released in Namibia in 2020, The White Line has won best newcomer director for Desiree, best film script and audience choice award at the Namibian Theatre and Film awards 2019.Desiree is an alumna of the Talents Durban 2018.
Desiree is currently working on her second feature a psychological drama titled’A Whisper in the Wind’.
