L’ECAL est une des écoles incontournables sur la scène mondiale de l’art et du design. Dirigée par Alexis Georgacopoulos, elle offre six filières de niveau Bachelor (Arts Visuels, Cinéma, Design Graphique, Design Industriel, Media & Interaction Design, Photographie) et quatre de niveau Master (Art Direction, Arts Visuels, Cinéma, Design de Produit). Elle propose également une Année Propédeutique qui prépare à l’entrée dans ses départements et deux Master of Advanced Studies en Design for Luxury & Craftsmanship et en Design Research for Digital Innovation (avec l’EPFL+ECAL Lab).

Au début de l’année académique 2015-2016, l’ECAL accueille plus de 583 étudiants. Le rayonnement de l’école au niveau européen et mondial est attesté par les succès rencontrés par d’anciens étudiants, d’innombrables articles de presse, des citations régulières dans les revues spécialisées ou grand public et un nombre enviable d’expositions dans des espaces prestigieux comme le Centre Culturel Suisse (Paris), Centre Pompidou (Paris), Cooper Union (New York), Design Days Dubai, Design September Bruxelles, documenta (Kassel), Droog Design Hôtel (Amsterdam), Festival International de Mode & de Photographie (Hyères), Gallery Libby Sellers (Londres), Maison Européenne de la Photographie (Paris), Musée de l’Elysée (Lausanne), National Institute of Design Ahmedabad, Salone internazionale del Mobile (Milan), swissnex (Bangalore, Boston, Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco, Shanghai, Singapour), Victoria & Albert Museum (Londres)…

Grâce au réseau établi à l’ECAL et à la production d’un portfolio répondant aux standards professionnels les plus exigeants, les diplômés travaillent après leurs études pour des bureaux et entreprises de renom ou montent directement leur propre structure.

Enjoying international renown and featuring regularly among the world’s top ten universities of art and design, ECAL is directed by Alexis Georgacopoulos. The school currently offers six Bachelor programmes (Fine Arts, Cinema, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Media & Interaction Design, Photography), four Master programmes (Art Direction, Fine Arts, Film, Product Design) and two Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Design for Luxury & Craftsmanship and in Design Research for Digital Innovation (with EPFL+ECAL Lab). ECAL also offers a one-year Foundation Course to prepare students for entrance to the different Bachelor’s programmes.
