En Mai 2016, les Capverdiens découvrent sur les réseaux sociaux des documents décrivant orgies, inceste, tentatives de viols sur mineurs, d’assassinats et usage de drogues. On identifie rapidement les auteurs de ces confessions publiques, faites par des membres d’une secte chrétienne (l’Eglise des Adventistes du Septième Jour des Tentes (CRASDT) : juges, médecins, économistes, et autres personnalités respectées. Derrière eux, se trouve un leader spirituel autoproclamé prophète de Dieu et considéré par ses disciples comme l’homme le plus saint du monde.
Les révélations des adeptes d’une secte chrétienne ayant pratiqué orgies, incestes, tentatives de viol sur enfants, tentatives de meurtre et toxicomanie choquent profondément la paisible société capverdienne. Des confessions d’autant plus terribles qu’elles émanent souvent de personnes très instruites et très respectées de cette même société. Derrière ces révélations se cache un chef spirituel, prophète de Dieu autoproclamé.
LE PLAN DU MAÎTRE étudie les conséquences de ces événements et nous emmène à la recherche de la vérité et de la croyance. Que se passe-t-il lorsque les gens privilégient leur foi à leur position sociale ? Le résultat est un voyage extraordinaire dans la psyché humaine.

Master’s Plan (The)
On a morning in May 2016, the population of Cape Verde awakens startled by a shockwave on social media. Publication after publication follows one another, of documents which describe orgies, incest, attempted child rape, adultery, asttempted murder and drug abuse in the smallest detail. The publications are confessions – all drafted in first person – made by members of a Christian sect, CRASDT: Renewed Congregation of the Adventists of the Seventh Day of Tents.
These public confessions reach an unimaginable amount of media attention when the people involved are all identified as important and respected figures in Cape Verdean society, highly regarded because of their social and professional positions as judges, doctors, economists,…
The peaceful Cape Verdean society gets shocked when public confessions about orgies, incest, attempted child rape, attempted murder and drug abuse are made by members of a Christian sect. All drafted in first person some of which belonging to highly educated and well-respected individuals of this society. Behind this lurks a spiritual leader, a self-proclaimed prophet of God. THE MASTER’S PLAN investigates the aftermath of these events and takes us on a search for truth and belief. What happens when people put aside their social position because of their faith? The result is an extraordinary journey to the human psyche.

As confissões são todas redigidas em primeira pessoa, algumas das quais pertencem a indivíduos altamente educados e respeitados da sociedade. Por trás disso tudo, espreita um líder espiritual autoproclamado profeta de Deus. THE MASTER’S PLAN investiga as consequências desses eventos e nos leva a uma busca pela verdade e crença.
