Sheperds montre à quel point les vaches sont un élément fondamental de la vie et de la société au Lesotho, un pays minuscule enclavé à l’intérieur de l’Afrique du Sud. Leur valeur est tant symbolique que matérielle, leur possession est donc capitale. Le film a été tourné dans une prison pour voleurs de bétail. Ils racontent leur vie et explique pourquoi ils en sont arrivés là.

Sheperds shows how cows are a fundamental part of life and society in Lesotho, a tiny landlocked country in the interior of South Africa. Their value is both symbolic and material, so their possession is crucial. The film was shot in a prison for cattle rustlers. They talk about their lives and why they have come to this point.
