Fabiola Mamle Opare-Darko is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Theatre arts of the University of Ghana. She was also Arts co-coordinator, Dance instructor and lecturer of Ghanaian Culture at Central University College, Pella Iowa during the Ghana Summer Programme. She is a Costume Consultant, Choreographer and a Dance Instructor to many theatre groups. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS Master of Fine Arts University of Ghana, Legon. Mother Christmas: a film by Sackey Sowa Premiered at TV 3 Kanda, on the 6th December 2011 5.John Mensah Sarbah-Lawyer and a Patriot : A screen play written and directed by Prof. Martin Owusu. March 2011. 6. The Christmas Story :Written and directed by Sarah Dzogbadzi and performed by the Home Science Dept. Nursery School, December 2010 7. Children of the Land. Written and produced by Professor Kofi Anyidoho and choreographed by Terry Bright Ofosu. Performed at the National Theatre from the 20th to 23rd July, 2010. 8. Tikaya – Aasakoa, a dance of idioms. Graduate student dance performance choreographed by Kodjo Afriyie Adomako. Performed at the Efua Sutherland Drama Studio, Legon. 30th March to 2nd April 2010. 9. The Future of Dance- Directed by Oh! Nii Sowah and Professor Nii Yatey. Performed at the Efua Sutherland Drama Studio, Legon, on the 30th March to 2nd April 2010. 10. The African Cinderella– Collaboration between the Swedish National Theatre and the National Theatre of Ghana directed by Francisca Quartey and premiered at the National Theatre, Accra, on the 6th march 2010. 11. The President’s Son (Sodom and Gomorrah) A film directed by Godwin Kotey and premiered at the National Theatre 6th July 2010. 12. Chimpo, Champa, and Chimpi– A film directed by Sackey Sowah, 2010. Not released. 13. Dare to Dream- Opening Ceremony of the International Hockey Championships. Choreographed by Professor Nii Yartey and performed at the Hockey Pitch, Accra 10th July, 2009. 14. Asanteman – Graduate Play-writing project directed by John Osei Tutu and performed at the Efua Sutherland Studio from the 29th to 31st October, 2009. 15. Joseph and His Technicolor Dream Coat– Directed by Benard Adjirackor and performed at the Amphi Theatre, Legon from 2nd to 5th April 2009. 16. The Light of Darkness- Choreographed by Peter Hudson and performed at the Efua Sutherland Drama studio on the 4th and 5th April, 2009. 17. The Groom Said No! Directed by Nana Fosua Akro-Bamfo.
