Alexandra HOESDORFF est cofondatrice, avec Désirée Nosbusch, de Deal Productions (Luxembourg) dont elle est la Directrice Générale.

Elle possède plus de vingt ans d’expérience dans la production physique aux États-Unis et en Europe et est experte dans les subtilités des accords de coproduction et du financement de films.

Les projets récents d’Alexandra en tant que producteur incluent High Fantasy, de la réalisatrice sud-africaine multiprimée Jenna Bass (présentée au TIFF 2017 et sélectionnée à la Berlinale et à Rotterdam 2018; ventes mondiales par Gravitas et Amazon); Filles aux boules d’Olivier Alfonso. Les ventes internationales sont gérées par Kinology. Le film a été sélectionné au Grimmfest, au Fantastic Fest, à Sitges, au Festival international du film fantastique de Paris en 2018; avec Isabelle Huppert et Pink Martini, Souvenir dont les ventes mondiales sont gérées par Pathé International. Le film a été sélectionné pour la compétition officielle du Festival d’Angoulême 2016 et a eu sa première nord-américaine au TIFF – Festival international du film de Toronto, Festival international du film BFI London, Film Fest Gent, Cinémania Montréal, Festival du Film d’Ostende, Festival do Rio, Marrakech Film Festival ainsi que le Festival international du film de Palm Springs et du long métrage documentaire Succès Fox de Désirée Nosbusch sélectionné au prix Max Ophüls de Sarrebruck et au Festival du film de Luxembourg 2014.

Alexandra a également produit Flatland 3ème long métrage de la réalisatrice Jenna Bass, qui a ouvert la section Panorama de la Berlinale 2019 et avec sa première nord-américaine au TIFF 2019. Le film est la deuxième coproduction avec Jenna et Proper Film (Afrique du Sud) et In Good Company-IGC (Allemagne). Les ventes internationales sont gérées par The Match Factory; Sawah, d’Adolf El Assal, qu’elle coproduit avec Caviar (Belgique) et Film Clinic (Égypte). Le film a été présenté pour la première fois au Luxembourg Film Fest 2019, suivi du Festival international du film de Beijing, du Festival MOOOV et du Festival du film arabe de Rotterdam.

Alexandra est en cours de développement et de production sur une sélection de longs métrages soutenus par le Fonds luxembourgeois du cinéma, en collaboration avec des coproducteurs et des talents financiers de renommée internationale.

Alexandra est vice-présidente du conseil d’administration d’ULPA, l’association des producteurs luxembourgeois, et présidente du conseil d’administration de Longs métrages.

Elle est une ancienne participante à l’atelier EAVE 2013 et celui d’Inside Pictures 2017. Elle est membre de la European Film Academy.

Alexandra is co-founder of Deal Productions (Luxembourg), along with Désirée Nosbusch.

She brings over twenty years of experience in physical production in the U.S. and Europe and is expert in the intricacies of co-production arrangements and film financing.

Alexandra’s recent projects as Producer include High Fantasy, by award-winning South African director Jenna Bass (premiered at TIFF 2017 and selected for Berlinale and Rotterdam 2018; world sales by Gravitas and Amazon); Girls with Balls by Olivier Alfonso. International Sales are handled by Kinology. The film has been selected at Grimmfest, Fantastic Fest, Sitges, Paris International Fantastic Film Fest in 2018; the Isabelle Huppert and Pink Martini vehicle, Souvenir, world sales by handled by Pathé International. The film has been selected in the official competition at the Festival d’Angoulême 2016 and had it’s North American Premiere at TIFF – Toronto International Film Festival, BFI London International Film Festival, Film Fest Gent, CInémania Montréal, Oostende Film Festival, Festival do Rio, Marrakech Film Festival as well as the Palm Springs International Film Festival and Succès Fox the feature documentary by Désirée Nosbusch which was shown at the Max Ophüls Prize Saarbrücken and Luxembourg City Film Festival 2014.

Alexandra also produced Flatland by award winning director Jenna Bass which opened the Panorama section of the Berlinale 2019, and will have it’s North American Premiere at TIFF 2019. The film is the second co-production with Jenna and Proper Film (South Africa) and In Good Company-IGC (Germany). International Sales are handled by The Match Factory; Sawah, by Adolf El Assal, which she is co-producing with Caviar (Belgium) and Film Clinic (Egypt). The film premiered at the 2019 Luxembourg Film Fest followed by the Beijing International Film Festival, the MOOOV Film Festival and the Arab Film Festival Rotterdam.

Alexandra is in development and production on a slate of feature films supported by the Luxembourg Film Fund in conjunction with internationally acclaimed financiers co-producers and talent.

Alexandra is vice-president of the Board of ULPA, Luxembourg’s Producers’ Association and is the President to the Board of Feature Films.

She is an Alumni of EAVE 2013 and Inside Pictures 2017. She is a member of the European Film Academy.
