Alhousséini Touré

Né à Tillabéry, au bord du fleuve Niger, compte parmi les peintres les plus doués au Niger.

Formé au Centre éducatif du Musée national en 1987, il intègre l’année suivante filiale Arts Plastiques. Il commence par dessiner et à réaliser du Batik. De 1989 à 1992, il suit des cours de dessin artistique au Centre Culturel Oumarou Ganda et obtient un diplôme de fin de cycle. Il se perfectionne en participant à des résidences au Luxembourg, au Togo, au Niger et en France. Dessinateur Graphiste au Centre audiovisuel et de publicité de Niamey où il travaillera jusqu’en 1993, il se lance corps et âme dans la peinture en créant son propre atelier et participe à de nombreux stages. La peinture d’Alhousséini est assez singulière. Il utilise les différentes terres de son pays, des pigments industriels, des bouts de tissus, des objets utilitaires, que l’on trouve autour de soi.

From 1989 to 1992 he follows classes of artistic painting in the Cultural Center of Oumarou Ganda and obtains a final certificate.He perfectionnates his atr by participating in some exhibitons at Luxembourg, in Togo, in Niger and in France.Graphic designer in the audio-visual Center of publicity of Niamey, where he will work until 1993, he engages himselfs totally in painting by creating his own workshop and by taking part in many training courses. The painting of Alhousséini is rather singular. He uses the various grounds of his country, the industrial pigments, the fabric ends, of the objects you can find all around.
