« Balafon Festival – African and Black Diaspora Art and Culture » is a film festival dedicated to the cinema of Africa and of Diaspora Black World. It is a festival of the images, the music and the colors of all the countries in the world.
Throughout the years Balafon Film Festival has become an important rendezvous for film makers, producers, distributors and critics giving both an enduring chance to cultural exchange and an important support to the film industry which often needs a lot of economic aids.

For the XVI edition, the special event « A window on the Cinema from. » will be dedie to Independent American Cinema.
So alls the Afro-canadians, Afro-americans, Haitians, Afro-latinos and alls immigrants (with temporary or permanent residence) in North or South America from Africa (enclosed Magreb and Egypt) filmmakers can participe with short or feature films, documentarys and fictions.
