Second wife (The)
« In 1997, I lived a history of insane love in Senegal. Avid Frenchwoman of exoticism, I met a Senegalese and we had the thunderbolt. He took me along at his place, in Guédiawaye, in the suburbs of Dakar.
Masseye was already married. That, I understand it on the way. He proposed to me to become his second wife. The marriage was the only manner of continuing to live a history of love which was binding on us. I accepted. Polygamy, mixed couple, loss of the reference marks: all made it vulnerable. However, even if it lasted little of time, it was a beautiful history. »
While going back to Senegal to find there the man whom she married five years earlier, Caroline Pochon collects testimonys of the protagonists of this history and takes along us on the traces of a lost love.
