A city street in Uganda. A large bunch of bananas have to be transported by motorcycle from one part of the city to another. These are not usually the variables that make for spell-binding cinema but, in GETTING THERE, director Godfrey Mubuuke and cinematographer Allie Mutaka Byansi manage to achieve just that. A kinetic love-letter to the dignity of work.
