Laila, immigrante d’origine arabe, vit en ce moment une histoire d’amour à trois dimensions. Autour d’elle, il y Sami, un scénariste fraîchement arrivé au Canada à qui elle confie la tâche de réécrire sa propre histoire; il y a aussi Jad, l’ancienne flamme de Leila, l’homme qu’elle a abandonné dans son pays natal, mais pour qui elle éprouve encore de forts sentiments amoureux. Dans un champ vide près de chez elle, Leila a l’habitude de méditer en pratiquant des rituels où se côtoient amour, sexe et spiritualité. Mais Sami et sa femme ont décidé de partir. C’est alors que Leila doit se libérer de ses illusions…

While Sami writes Laila’s story, Laila seeks salvation in a nearby field where she meditates, transforms it into a temple of love, sex and spirituality. When Sami leaves town with his wife, Laila is forced to re-assess her illusions…
