The Tale of How est un petit opéra en images virtuoses qui raconte l’histoire d’une pieuvre malade d’amour qui se met à dévorer d’étranges créatures, mi-oiseaux, mi-piranhas. Mais peu importe l’histoire finalement, The Tale of How est une réalisation extrêmement raffinée, envoûtante, qui évoque à la fois Jerôme Bosch, Claude Ponti, les comptines anglaises, Tim Burton et l’opérette fantastique. Elle a été réalisée par le collectif sud africain The Black heart Gang (aka Shy the Sun), à qui l’on doit également Ringo (2004), présenté dans le programme Tour du Monde (Festival Black Movie 2010, Genève).

The Tale of How is a short opera in masterly images that tells the tale of a love-sick octopus who begins to devour strange creatures, half bird, half piranha. The story is not that important however; The Tale of How is an extremely sophisticated and bewitching production that simultaneously evokes Jerôme Bosch, Claude Ponti, English nursery rhymes, Tim Burton and fantastic. It was produced by the South African collective The Black Heart Gang (alias Shy the Sun), whom we also have to thank for Ringo (2004), presented in the World Tour program (Festival Black Movie 2010, Geneva).
