Arezki, un paysan des montagnes de Kabylie, recueille un jeune homme, Larbi, trouvé inanimé dans un sous-bois enneigé. Soigné par la femme et la fille d'Arezki, Larbi se rétablit. Il noue une liaison avec la fille du paysan et part. Le père découvrant que sa fille est enceinte veut laver son honneur dans le sang du jeune étranger. Un hommage rendu aux femmes algériennes, tourné en berbère, cette culture longtemps opprimée au nom de l'arabo-islamisme. Arezki, a Kabylian farmer, takes in a dying young man and brings him back to life. During his recovery, the young man, Larbi, starts a relationship with the farmer’s daughter. Arezki finds out that his daughter is pregnant and, to avenge his honor, he goes looking for the young man. Meanwhile, Larbi comes back and looks after the family while waiting for the father to return. After a number of hardships that will ruin his integrity, Arezki comes back to his village.
