Les années soixante-dix au Maroc. Les révoltes étudiantes revendiquent liberté et démocratie. Pour échapper aux arrestations de masse, Aziz accepte de vivre sous une fausse identité.
Puissante évocation d’un parcours militant sur fond de répression durant les années de plomb. En ayant recours à des extraits de films du patrimoine marocain remis en perspective, Ali Essafi restitue le souffle, l’atmosphère et les enjeux d’une époque à travers une mémoire politique et cinématographique.

In the 1970s, Moroccan schoolboys and students dreamed of freedom and democracy. Severe police crackdowns on dissent and wide arbitrary arrests, detention, secret prisons have branded the decade as the ‘years of lead’. A number of activists lived in clandestinity. Aziz was twenty-three years old at the time, he was lonely and carried a false identity for two years before he was identified and arrested.
