Pour révéler ce monde du Football – phénomène sportif mais, également social – le film choisit deux itinéraires complémentaires. Le premier itinéraire passe par la vie des joueurs de l’Equipe Nationale de Tunisie (année 1977-1978) et de son entraîneur Abdelmajid Chetali. On les voit, ainsi, évoluer dans leur existence quotidienne chez eux et sur le terrain. Le second itinéraire raconte l’histoire de deux adolescents, Khaled et Hichem, qui, issus de quartiers populaires suivent, en fabulant, l’existence de ces joueurs: leurs idoles.
Ces deux voies parallèles nous conduisent, en cette année 1977-78, au spectacle grandiose du match Tunisie / Egypte. Et de là, nous suivons l’épopée argentine de l’équipe nationale tunisienne : sa première participation à une coupe mondiale, devenue « légende ».

To reveal this world of soccer – a sporting but also social phenomenon – the film chooses two complementary routes. The first itinerary goes through the life of the players of the Tunisian National Team (year 1977-1978) and of its trainer Abdelmajid Chetali. We see them, thus, evolving in their daily existence at home and in the field. The second itinerary tells the story of two teenagers, Khaled and Hichem, who, coming from working-class neighborhoods, follow, by fabulating, the existence of these players: their idols.
These two parallel paths lead us, in this year 1977-78, to the grandiose show of the Tunisia / Egypt game. And from there, we follow the Argentine epic of the Tunisian national team: its first participation in a world cup, which has become « legendary ».
