Romantic-drama set mainly in Abuja. Lagos-based corporate executive Makinde Esho finds himself at the mercy of political patronage, bureaucratic red-tape and his tender heart when he embarks on a one day business trip to Abuja to secure a government contract.
On a Monday morning, Makinde Esho (Femi Jacobs), a corporate executive at Techmast Nigeria Limited, flies into Abuja for an important 9:30am meeting with the Honourable Minister of Land Resources. Mr. Esho’s mission is to secure a government authorization to build a mast sub-station and return to Lagos on the afternoon flight. Upon arriving Abuja, Makinde is forced to give a young girl Ejura (Linda Ejiofor) a ride into town. There is a lot riding on this authorization as it will save his company from bankruptcy. The Managing Director of Techmast (Jide Kosoko) is on Makinde’s case to get the signed authorization while his only daughter (Kehinde Bankole) wants him to finish quickly and return to Lagos for her graduation from University of Lagos.
Makinde is ignorant of how difficult it would be to see the minister until he meets CLARA (Rita Dominic), the impenetrable receptionist and a cast of other characters in the minister’s reception room. Makinde’s appointment is continually bumped off by a series of incidents, some inadvertent and others orchestrated by the minister’s powerful receptionist.
Between Ejura who is almost half her age, Clara the receptionist, the Techmast MD and Kikelomo, it remains to be seen if Makinde can complete his task and return to Lagos.
