Le film s’ouvre par une montée triomphale de femmes cinéastes sur le podium du FESPACO, pour recevoir une récompense pour la qualité de leurs œuvres ou de leurs prestations. Inspirées par l’engagement des pionnières qui ont suscité l’éclosion des vocations féminines pour les métiers du cinéma africain, et ce malgré préjugés et pesanteurs socioculturelles, la nouvelle génération de femmes cinéastes, brille aujourd’hui par sa présence active, devant ou derrière la caméra ; elle y apporte sa sensibilité, sa touche originale et pose un autre regard sur l’Afrique.

The film opens with a triumphant standing of women filmmakers on the podium of FESPACO to receive an award for their quality work and performance. It pays a tribute to the pioneers for their commitment, and for attracting today many women in a formerly man reserved profession. In spite of the preconceived ideas and sociocultural factors, the new generation of women filmmakers is very active, in front or behind the camera, thus contributing to the industry with her sensitiveness, original touch and insight on Africa.
