Ali au Pays des Mirages (en arabe : علي في بلاد السراب - Ali Fi Bilad Al-Sarab) est un film algérien de Ahmed Rachedi, sorti 1980.



Dans les années 80, 18 ans à peine après l'indépendance de l'Algérie, l’immigration algérienne en France alimente massivement le secteur du BTP, répondant à une demande de main-d’œuvre dure et peu valorisée. Derrière l’idée d’« immigration choisie », ces hommes sont surtout recrutés pour leurs bras, leurs mains cagneuses façonnées par les chantiers. Invisibles mais essentiels, ils bâtissent routes, immeubles et infrastructures, souvent au prix de conditions précaires. Ali, un grutier immigré algérien en France, prend avec philosophie les brimades dont font l'objet les immigrés comme lui sur les chantiers et dans la vie quotidienne. Il espère sortir de sa condition grâce à l'argent gagné à la loterie et du haut de sa grue, il se prend alors à rêver en observant le monde à travers des jumelles. Un jour il, empauche le jackpot...
