L’histoire de Rawi (traduction arabe de « conteur »), est un jeune homme qui découvre que les petites histoires sont en train de « mourir » à cause d’une pollution de l’air à des niveaux sans précédents. Il entreprend de les sauver de l’oubli.

The story of Rawi (Arabic for storyteller), a young man who on discovering that small stories are « dying » in the wake of unprecedented levels of air pollution, resolves to save them from oblivion.

Egyptian tradition of storytelling with musical accompaniment in a series of colourful, imaginative tableaux. Rawi, who has a gift for storytelling, discovers that air pollution is killing off small stories. He saves them, reanimating them in contemporary Cairo.

In een reeks kleurrijke, fantasievolle tableaus dompelt Hala Elkoussy ons onder in de Egyptische traditie van verhalen vertellen op muziek.
