C'est l'histoire d'un jeune couple diplômé qui vit une parfaite idylle jusqu'au jour où la femme trouve du travail. La vie de famille de ce jeune couple change alors littéralement car le mari ne supporte pas l'absence de sa femme toute la journée pour aller travailler ; il préfère une femme au foyer. Ainsi commence le combat de la femme pour affirmer son droit au travail et à l'autonomisation.
