Des hommes noirs, menacés par la police et stigmatisés par la population, se rassemblent dans un lieu autogéré au coeur de la ville. Ils témoignent de leur quotidien et revendiquent leurs identités, sans avoir à s’excuser de ce qu’ils sont. Le film décrit l’état de siège physique et mental des Noirs en situation précaire à Lausanne. Confronté à d’évidentes nécessités de protection de l’anonymat et à l’impossibilité de filmer dans la rue, No Apologies s’est constitué autour d’un dispositif permettant aux protagonistes de s’exprimer librement.

Black men, threatened by the police and stigmatized by the population, gather in a self-administered place in the heart of the city. They bear witness to their daily lives and claim their identities, without having to apologize for who they are. The film depicts the physical and mental siege of the black people in a precarious situation in Lausanne. Confronted with the obvious need to protect anonymity and the impossibility of filming in the street, No Apologies was built around a device that allows the protagonists to express themselves freely.
