Basé sur des témoignages, ce film hybride raconte le destin de Tania, une adolescente forcée de se prostituer dans la région des mines d’or du Pérou. Tania se remémore son enlèvement suite à de fausses promesses de travail et la perte progressive de son identité. La caméra nous emmène de la jungle aux bars qui furent le lieu de son exploitation. La ruée fébrile vers l’or, combinée à la destruction de l’environnement, fait résonner le film comme une allégorie de la vie sacrifiée sur l’autel du capitalisme.

Based on testimony, this hybrid film tells the story of Tania, a teenager forced into prostitution in the gold mining region of Peru. Tania recalls her capture following false promises of work and the progressive loss of her identity. The camera takes us from the jungle to the bars which were the sites of her exploitation. The fever of the gold rush combined with the destruction of the environment resound in the film like an allegory of life sacrificed on the altar of capitalism.
