"Je reste photographe" est un film à la première personne, un véritable portrait croisé de deux figures importantes de la photographie en Côte d'Ivoire, issus de générations différentes mais partageant une passion commune. Jeune photographe, Ananias hérite d'une malle qui contient le travail de toute une vie. Celle du photographe le plus significatif du temps de la Côte d'Ivoire nouvellement indépendante :
Paul Kodjo. Ainsi débute une histoire passionnante qui les liera à jamais. En acceptant la malle, Ananias mesure bien évidemment la lourde responsabilité que lui confie Paul Kodjo, d'autant plus que les
négatifs qu'elle contient sont sérieusement abîmés. Un patrimoine en souffrance donné en legs, c'est un pan de l'histoire de la Côte-d'Ivoire postcoloniale qui est menacé. Paul Kodjo silencieusement amer n'y croit plus, mais Ananias en fais une histoire personnelle. En suivant Paul Kodjo, le film lève ici le voile sur le parcours tumultueux de sa vie.
Alors jeune photographe, Ananias Léki Dago hérite d'une malle qui contient le travail de toute une vie, celle de Paul Kodjo, le photographe le plus significatif de l'époque de la Côte d'Ivoire fraîchement indépendante. C'est le commencement d'une histoire passionnante qui liera la vie de ces deux personnes ayant en commun non seulement l'amour pour la photographie mais également la fragilité d'une vie d'artiste.
JE RESTE PHOTOGRAPHE suit Ananias au gré de ses rencontres et de ses voyages tandis qu'il se jette corps et âme dans un long travail de recherche, de reconditionnement et de conservation des négatifs de Paul Kodjo et lève ainsi le voile sur le parcours tumultueux de ce dernier.

"Je reste photographe" is a first-person film, a true cross-portrait of two important figures of photography in Ivory Coast, from different generations but sharing a common passion. As a young photographer, Ananias inherits a trunk that contains a lifetime of work. That of the most significant photographer of the time of the newly independent Ivory Coast:
Paul Kodjo. Thus begins a fascinating story that will link them forever. In accepting the trunk, Ananias is obviously aware of the heavy responsibility entrusted to him by Paul Kodjo, especially as the negatives it contains are seriously damaged.

Paul Kodjo is silently bitter and no longer believes in it, but Ananias makes it a personal story. By following Paul Kodjo, the film lifts the veil on the tumultuous course of his life.
Then young photographer, Ananias Leki Dago inherited a trunk containing the work of a lifetime, that of Paul Kodjo, the most significant photographer of the time of the newly independent Ivory Coast. It is the beginning of an exciting story that will link the lives of these two people who have in common a love for photography and the fragility of an artist's life.
