Ce documentaire du doyen du cinéma afro-cubain, Sergio Giral, étudie la communauté noire cubaine en exil dans le sud de la Floride, depuis la première vague de réfugiés politiques au lendemain de la révolution de 1959 jusqu’à aujourd’hui. Il retrace la présence de cette communauté dans toute la région et met en lumière sa contribution à la culture civique de Miami à travers des témoignages et des supports visuels.
