Inspirée du roman d'Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani paru en 2009, cette comédie dramatique raconte l'histoire de Kingsley, le premier né de sa famille, accablé par tous les avantages et les responsabilités qui en découlent, notamment la nécessité d'obtenir un diplôme et de trouver un emploi pour pouvoir s'occuper de sa famille. La menace de la pauvreté peut entraîner même le plus respectueux des hommes dans une voie sombre et, incapable de trouver du travail, il est séduit par la vie que mène son oncle, Boniface, alias "Cash Daddy", et par les avantages qu'elle lui procure. Ensemble, ils sont les ultimes faire-valoir l'un de l'autre, au fur et à mesure que se déroule le conte moral.
