Josette, 75 ans, souffre de solitude à Yaoundé et n'a qu'un seul but : faire revenir ses enfants partis vivre en Europe. Alors qu'elle tente de les convaincre de construire une maison au Cameroun, elle rencontre Sarah, une jeune femme de son quartier. Une amitié naît entre les deux femmes, une amitié qui vient bouleverser leurs vies.

Josette, 75, is struggling with her loneliness in Yaoundé and has only one goal: to bring back her children, who have gone to live in Europe. While she oversees the construction of a house for one of her sons, she meets Sarah, a young woman from her neighbourhood. As the two women get to know each other, all of Josette's points of reference, linked to her family ties, collapse.
