Ali, impliqué malgré lui dans une affaire politique, passe vingt ans en prison pour meurtre. À sa sortie, tout est bien différent, le groupe d'amis s'est éclaté, chacun mène sa vie,Ali n'a plus cette place privilégiée d'autrefois. Seules Rabiaa et sa fille offrent une solution de réintégration au présent et de réconciliation avec le passé, pourtant douloureuses à réaliser.

Alí se ve implicado a su pesar en un asunto político y acaba pasando 20 años en la cárcel, acusado de asesinato. Cuando sale, todo ha cambiado. El grupo de amigos se ha disgregado, cada uno vive su vida.Alí ya no ocupa el lugar privilegiado de antaño. Las únicas personas dispuestas a ayudarle a integrarse en el presente y a reconciliarse con el pasado, por muy doloroso que sea, son Rabiaa y su hija.
